Job summary

GSSTech Group in Dubai is seeking a Senior Node.js Engineer to join our Technology Engineering team supporting Business Platforms & Payments initiatives. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js, with RESTful and GraphQL services and a strong focus on microservices and distributed systems.

You will collaborate across Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders, applying modern testing, secure coding, and performance tuning

Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise backend systems with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proficient in RESTful APIs and GraphQL design and implementation.
• Strong background in microservices and distributed architectures.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB).
• Solid testing discipline using Jest, Mocha, and Chai.
• Familiarity with cloud-native apps and containerization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Architect RESTful and GraphQL services for enterprise web and mobile apps.
• Implement distributed microservices with focus on scalability and reliability.
• Write clean TypeScript/JavaScript and ensure best engineering practices.
• Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases, optimize performance and data consistency.
• Build secure server-side applications with strong auth and data protection.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and governance.
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; troubleshoot production issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD, release management, and deployment automation.
• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement.
