Job summary

Client of First Medical Center is seeking an experienced Consultant Neurologist to join its Neurosciences Department in Abu Dhabi. The physician will provide specialist neurological assessment and management across inpatient and outpatient services, collaborating with Neurosurgery, Rehabilitation, Emergency, Intensive Care, Radiology, Cardiology and other teams.

The role requires a recognised medical degree and a specialist qualification in Neurology, with minimum consultant-level experience.

Qualifications

• Recognised medical degree and specialist/consultant qualification in Neurology.
• Minimum consultant-level experience in neurology.
• Experience in acute stroke pathways preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic neurological disorders.
• Interpret MRI and CT brain imaging.
• Review EEG, EMG and nerve conduction studies where applicable.
• Perform neurological examinations and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate rehabilitation for patients with neurological disability.
• Participate in multidisciplinary neurological case conferences.
• Provide patient and family counselling; contribute to clinical governance, education, audit and research.
