Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is recruiting a Consultant Neonatologist for Dubai to lead care of premature and critically ill newborns in a modern NICU. The role requires senior expertise in Level III/IV NICU care, complex ventilatory support, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certification in Pediatrics.
• Fellowship or recognized subspecialty certification in Neonatology or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Minimum 5 years of experience practicing at Consultant Neonatologist level.
• Extensive clinical experience within a Level III or Level IV NICU.
• Strong expertise in neonatal intensive care, advanced resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, and invasive procedures.
• Proven ability to manage premature infants and newborns with respiratory, infectious, congenital, metabolic, and multisystem conditions.
• Academic teaching, clinical research, publication, or fellowship supervision experience will strengthen the profile.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level care for premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU.
• Diagnose and manage neonatal respiratory distress, sepsis, congenital anomalies, and metabolic disorders.
• Perform advanced neonatal resuscitation during delivery-room emergencies.
• Administer endotracheal intubation and manage airway support.
• Direct invasive and non-invasive ventilator support based on gestational age and condition.
• Lead NICU rounds and coordinate complex cases with obstetricians and surgeons.
• Counsel families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and follow-up.
• Supervise junior physicians and NICU staff.
• Contribute to development of neonatal protocols and education.
