Job summary

Lulu center - Sole Proprietorship LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 6–7 years of UAE experience, preferably in retail commercial or similar projects. The candidate should have strong site experience and be capable of reviewing drawings, providing technical comments, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and following up on project requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to review mechanical drawings (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting) and provide comments.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and site teams.
• Strong understanding of specifications, standards and authority requirements.
• UAE driving license is mandatory.
• Strong site experience in retail/commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Review HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and other mechanical drawings including tender shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Review drawings and provide technical comments to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor site works and ensure installation is carried out as per approved drawings, specs and standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, landlords, site teams and other MEP disciplines.
• Follow up on technical comments, approvals and closure of outstanding issues.
• Check compliance with project specifications and authority regulations.
• Attend site inspections and meetings and provide technical guidance.
• Review material submittals, method statements and other mechanical submissions.
• Follow up with contractors and consultants to ensure timely completion of works.
• Coordinate with maintenance team during testing, commissioning and handover.
