Job summary

ADNOC Offshore - Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is seeking an experienced mechanical technician to perform skilled maintenance at an advanced level on typical offshore equipment. You will lead and direct a crew for preventive, corrective, breakdown, shutdown and turnaround maintenance in a Super Complex, handling pumps, compressors, gas turbines and static equipment.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs assigned crew during preventive, corrective, breakdown, shutdown and turnaround maintenance in the Super Complex.
• Receives work requests from Mechanical Supervisor and attends to tasks for maintenance of static and rotating mechanical equipment.
• Disassembles, assembles, repairs, tests, collects data and prepares reports on equipment maintenance.
• Performs installation and alignment of pumps, compressors, gas turbines and static equipment using appropriate tools including laser alignment.
• Inspects and repairs mechanical spare parts such as bearings and seals on typical equipment.
• Oversees major overhauls of equipment, with or without external contractors, and works in the plant and workshop.

Job description

• Performs skilled mechanical maintenance at an advanced level on typical mechanical equipment of Offshore Oil & Gas Installations. Leads and directs assigned crew consisting of related crafts as well as participates in the crew's tasks. (Work includes but is not limited to Gas turbines, diesel engines, air compressors, various pumps, fire fighting equipment, various pipelines, gas plant & incinerator and includes all mechanical maintenance including fabrication and light machining jobs etc.).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Performs, leads and gives directions to crew, consisting of Mechanical
• Technicians and Fitters during preventive /corrective/ breakdown/ shutdown/turnaround maintenance in the Super Complex.
• Receives work request from Mechanical Supervisor. Attends directly to requests from various Sections in the Super Complex for Maintenance of different static and rotating mechanical equipment like pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, valves, vessels, fire fighting system etc.
• Disassembles, assembles, observes, repairs, tests, collects data and prepares reports etc on equipment, as tasks related to maintenance.
• Performs installation and alignment of equipment such as pumps, compressors, gas turbines, static equipment etc using relevant tools including computerized laser alignment tools.
• Installs, removes, inspects and repairs mechanical spare parts like bearings, seals etc on typical mechanical equipment.
• Performs and gives directions to crew during major overhaul of equipment with or without external contractors and vendors.
• Works on various equipment in the plant as well as in workshop.
• Uses and ensures use of proper tools and tackles on the job by assigned crew.
• Carries out periodic pre-use inspection of tools and special tools, repairs, overhauls and tests them when required.
• Learns from the methods and errors and recommends to the supervisor on ways of continuous improvement.
• Assists the supervisor to improve the productivity of crew by making relevant recommendations as well as to achieve cost effective maintenance.
