Job summary

Petrofac in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Inspector - Quality: Mechanical (Static / Rotating) to lead on-site QC activities, perform receiving inspections, verify equipment storage and ensure conformity to project specifications.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, deep knowledge of ASME and API codes, and at least 10 years’ experience in oil & gas or petrochemical projects, preferably with major EPC contractors or their subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Thorough working knowledge of ASME and API codes/practices.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as Mechanical QC Inspector.
• Experience in oil & gas/petrochemical industry.
• Experience with major EPC contractors or their subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the receiving inspection for mechanical equipment at construction site.
• Periodically check material lay down and warehouse areas for proper equipment storage.
• Ensure equipment foundations are released by Civil QC Inspector.
• Witness inspections/tests and final box up of equipment.
• Supervise erection, mounting and alignment of rotating equipment.
• Coordinate with civil inspector for pre-pour inspection and release of critical items.
