Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Rotary to provide engineering support for installation, testing, commissioning and start-up of rotating equipment on a major oil & gas site. The role requires 12–15 years of oil & gas experience, strong knowledge of API/ASME/ISO standards, and proven coordination with EPC contractors and vendors.

The successful candidate will work on-site in a multicultural environment, ensuring mechanical completion and pre-commissioning

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
12–15 years of relevant oil & gas experience.
Rotating equipment engineering, construction, installation and commissioning.
PMC site environment experience is highly preferred.
Upstream oil & gas, gas processing, gas treatment, or related projects.
Pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes and mechanical packages experience.
Experience with EPC contractors, equipment vendors and subcontractors.
Mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning knowledge.
Knowledge of API, ASME, ISO and project specifications.
Equipment alignment, vibration, lubrication, piping connections and installation requirements.
Coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
Site-based multicultural project environment

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical engineering support for rotating equipment installation and commissioning.
Oversee construction, testing and start-up activities at site.
