Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead maintenance and operation of pumping stations, HDPE pipelines, valves, and related rotating and static equipment. You will oversee servicing, diagnostics, and corrective actions with a focus on reliability.

Required: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years UAE experience, NFPA knowledge, hands-on HDPE fusion, pump mechanics, and valve servicing; supervisory duties, blueprint reading, P&IDs, and CMMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of UAE-based experience.
• Familiarity with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Hands-on HDPE fusion, pump mechanics, and valve servicing.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, servicing, and repair of pumping stations and drainage systems.
• Manage HDPE pipeline installation, repair, and modifications.
• Maintain and calibrate industrial valves and flow control equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns with timely diagnostic actions.
• Schedule work using CMMS and supervise technicians/contractors.
