Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a design-focused engineer to prepare manufacturing drawings (GA, assembly, sub-assembly, parts) for customized non-standard products. You will review designs, manage BOM changes, and ensure alignment with project timelines and Vertiv standards.

You will collaborate with Design and Manufacturing teams, define material specs and tolerances for sheetmetal components, and contribute to safe, efficient shop floor implementation of designs.

Qualifications

• Prepare manufacturing drawings (GA, assembly, sub-assembly and parts) for customized non-standard products.
• Conduct design reviews per the Design Control Plan.
• Communicate BOM changes to design and project teams.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve design issues during production.
• Define material specs, finishes and tolerances for sheetmetal assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Receive instruction from Design Manager/Mechanical Team Lead and prepare manufacturing drawings for customized products.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure code compliance and Vertiv standards.
• Track BOM changes and update stakeholders.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to implement designs on the shop floor.
• Ensure drawings meet delivery dates and project milestones.
• Adhere to HSE policy and promote a safe work environment.
