Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Draftsman with strong skills in AutoCAD and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of drafting experience and proven expertise in preparing coordination drawings for complex projects. Responsibilities include preparing detailed shop drawings and ensuring compliance with UAE construction standards. Candidates should have excellent attention to detail and be ready to join within 2 weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of drafting experience, with at least 5 years in contracting companies within the UAE/GCC.
• Proven experience in preparing coordination drawings for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC construction standards and authority guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing and firefighting.
• Develop coordination drawings integrating architectural, structural and MEP services.
• Review design drawings and specifications for compliance and constructability.
• Coordinate with engineers, site teams and other draftsmen.
• Maintain version control of drawings and ensure timely submission.
• Modify and update drawings based on site instructions and RFIs.
• Support site execution teams with necessary technical drawing inputs.
