Job summary

Al Ain Consulting Engineers LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (BIM) to drive design for HVAC, Plumbing, gases and firefighting systems in healthcare projects. You will guide the project through CD/SD/DD to IFC submissions and provide site support, coordinating with sub-consultants using Revit/BIM 360 and 2D CAD workflows.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of mechanical experience, including 5 years in the UAE, and have BIM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years UAE experience including 5 years in Abu Dhabi.
• Healthcare project experience is preferred.
• Experience in BIM projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chronologically maps duties from Concept Design through Schematic Design and Design Development to automated IFC submissions and site technical support for HVAC, Plumbing, Gases and firefighting systems.
• Lead coordination meetings with sub-consultants on Revit/BIM 360 platforms and legacy 2D CAD workflows.
• Apply and document design methodologies for healthcare spaces, including ADHB guidelines and MGPS considerations.
• Utilize high-end thermal calculation tools in addition to AutoCAD and Revit to support design decisions.
