AESG is seeking a passionate and driven SeniorMechanical Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity to work within AESGs award winning Sustainable Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a willingness to work across multiple disciplines and industries to drive the market towards more sustainable development.

The successful candidate will form part of AESGs dynamic Sustainable Engineering department located in our Dubai headquarters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. You will work on a variety of projects involving mechanical design, analysis, prototyping, and manufacturing support.

• Experience delivering LEED-certified or other building certification projects and have an excellent understanding of building systems performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they meet sustainable and digitalisation requirements
• Act as key point of contact for clients as an MEP lead engineer with responsibility for technical and commercial delivery of projects
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Develop in house systems and workflows with a strong focus on automated design via Dynamo, Python or similar
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met
• Utilise Revit software to create and manage mechanical engineering models and drawings
• Stay current on industry trends and developments related to sustainable mechanical engineering and digitalisation
• Strong knowledge and experience in Revit software
• Strong understanding of project commercial control, resource planning & project management
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Strong understanding of sustainable engineering principles and practices
• Familiarity with UAE and regional building code

Essential skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with further post-graduate education desirable (e.g., Masters degree), along with demonstrated work experience within the field
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering in UAE and KSA, with a focus on sustainability and digitalisation.
• Experience delivering LEED-certified or other building certification projects and have an excellent understanding of building systems performance
• Professional qualification and work experience with development, and/or implementation of Sustainability Rating Systems such as USGBC LEED, Mostadam, Passive House or equivalent
• Proven track record of successfully leading a sustainability program, policies and regulatory frameworks
• Professional expertise insoftware platforms, including Revit and IES.
