Job summary

EDGE Group PJSC seeks a Mechanical Airframe Systems Design Specialist to lead the design, integration, and validation of UAV mechanical airframe systems, including landing gear, fuel systems, ECS, hydraulics, and actuation.

You will develop 3D CAD models, perform structural and thermal analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure airworthiness and manufacturing readiness. The role requires 5+ years in aerospace mechanical design and experience with CATIA/NX/SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience in aerospace mechanical systems design, with expertise in at least three areas (landing gear, fuel systems, ECS, hydraulics, actuation).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and PLM systems (CATIA, NX, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
• Familiarity with FEA and CFD tools.
• Experience with aerospace/defense standards (AS9100, MIL-STD, DO-160).
• Strong problem-solving ability and clear technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration, and validation of mechanical airframe systems for UAVs.
• Develop 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Perform structural, hydromechanical, and thermal analyses.
• Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, and flight controls teams.
• Define system requirements, ICDs, and BOMs per aerospace standards.
• Support prototype builds, ground tests, and flight trials.
• Ensure airworthiness compliance and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement for performance and manufacturability.
