Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Consultant in Maternal & Fetal Medicine to join a leading healthcare organization’s obstetrics & gynecology team. The role focuses on high-risk pregnancies, fetal medicine, and multidisciplinary care.

The candidate should hold UK CCT in Obstetrics & Gynecology with subspecialty expertise, be eligible for UAE licensing, and bring extensive experience in tertiary care fetal medicine to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• UK CCT in Obstetrics & Gynecology with advanced training in Maternal & Fetal Medicine.
• Specialist registration with the relevant UK medical authority.
• Post-CCT experience in Maternal & Fetal Medicine.
• Experience in a tertiary-care or fetal medicine unit preferred.
• Expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and complex fetal conditions.
• Eligible for DOH/DHA medical licensing, depending on location.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and multidisciplinary team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level care for high-risk and complicated pregnancies.
• Conduct comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments and develop individualized management plans.
• Manage maternal medical conditions and pregnancy-related complications.
• Perform and interpret advanced obstetric ultrasound and fetal assessments.
• Provide antenatal screening, fetal surveillance, and prenatal counselling.
• Diagnose and manage fetal abnormalities and other complex fetal conditions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with obstetricians, neonatologists, geneticists, radiologists, and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and complex case discussions.
• Provide appropriate counselling regarding fetal diagnosis, treatment options, and pregnancy management.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Participate in clinical governance, teaching, research, audit, and quality-improvement activities.
