Job summary

Mogi I/O : OTT/Podcast/Short Video Apps for you in Dubai seeks an experienced VAT Director to lead and grow our UAE VAT Advisory practice, combining technical VAT expertise with senior client management and business development.

You will manage relationships with CFOs and Tax Heads, lead a high-performing VAT team, and drive revenue and profitability while staying ahead of UAE VAT guidance and GCC developments.

• Oversee delivery quality and technical integrity of engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex UAE VAT and Tax Advisory engagements.
• Manage relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Heads, and senior stakeholders.
• Develop and grow the UAE VAT Advisory practice and service offering.
• Identify new business opportunities and support pitches and proposals.
• Oversee technical quality and delivery of client engagements.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing VAT team.
• Drive revenue, profitability, utilisation, and overall practice performance.
• Stay updated on UAE VAT, FTA guidance, and GCC tax developments.

Candidate Requirements

• Several years of relevant experience in VAT and Indirect Tax Advisory.
• Strong UAE/Dubai market experience is essential.
• Strong technical knowledge of UAE VAT and practical advisory experience.
• Proven senior-level client management and engagement leadership experience.
• Experience in business development and growing client relationships.
• Practice/service-line management experience preferred.
• Strong commercial, leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Big 4 / leading professional services / established tax advisory experience preferred.
• CA, CTA, ACCA, CPA, ADIT, or equivalent qualification preferred.
