Overview Of The Role

The Audit Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive financial and operational audit policies and programs for Al Futtaim Group. This includes safeguarding assets, ensuring resource efficiency, complying with laws and regulations, and achieving established organizational objectives. The role involves evaluating internal control adequacy across various sectors and preparing detailed audit reports. The Audit Manager plays a critical part in human resource development by training and supervising the audit staff, and in engaging in special audits and fraud investigations when necessary. Continuous enhancement of audit approaches to include computer‑aided techniques and maintaining updated knowledge of audit methodologies are central to this role.

What You Will Do
Audit Policies and Programs
  • Initiate, develop, and implement audit policies, plans, objectives, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensure completeness and quality conduct of operational and financial audits within department budget and long‑range goals.
Operational and Financial Audit
  • Examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems across all business segments.
  • Review financial and operational information systems for reliability, integrity, and compliance with approved policies and regulations.
  • Appraise the economy and efficiency of resource usage within the Group.
  • Ascertain operational consistency with established objectives and goals.
Audit Reports and Records
  • Maintain information and records for efficient audit execution and prepare detailed professional reports.
  • Lead meetings with management to present audit findings and discuss critical issues with GD‑IA.
  • Prepare Executive Summaries and Monthly Summary Reports for upper management review.
Computer‑Assisted Audit
  • Leverage computerized audit techniques to expand audit coverage and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IS Audit on technical matters concerning data analysis and system audits.
Human Resource Development
  • Supervise, motivate, and train audit staff to uphold high professional standards.
  • Participate in auditor recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
Frauds and Special Assignments
  • Conduct in‑depth investigations of fraud, misappropriations, and prepare findings reports with recommendations.
  • Perform special assignments as requested by Group Director - IA or management.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure effective collaboration and complementary audit efforts.
