Senior Manager - Operational & Financial Audit
The Audit Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive financial and operational audit policies, plans, and programs to evaluate all activities of the Group. This includes assessing the reliability and integrity of information, safeguarding of assets, efficient use of resources, accomplishment of objectives, and compliance with laws and regulations. The role plays a pivotal part in maintaining internal control systems and advising management on risk management and effectiveness of control measures. The Manager ensures audit assignments are executed proficiently, maintains audit reports and records, and oversees staff development to meet international standards.
What You Will Do
Audit Policies, Plans, and Programs
- Initiate, develop and implement audit policies, plans, objectives, and procedures.
- Ensure completeness and quality of operational and financial audits.
- Prepare the Annual Operational and Financial Audit Plan detailing audit subject, company, location, and budgeted days.
- Review and approve planning documents for each audit engagement.
Operational and Financial Audit
- Ensure systems of internal control are adequate and effective.
- Review financial and operating information for reliability and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with approved policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Evaluate the safeguarding methods for assets.
- Appraise the efficiency of resource utilization.
- Check all files and records for audit purposes.
Audit Reports and Records
- Review and evaluate audit reports for content and accuracy.
- Arrange Audit Review Meetings to discuss audit observations.
- Prepare Executive Summary and Monthly Summary Reports.
- Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
Computer Assisted Audit
- Enhance use of generalized file interrogation software for efficiency.
- Coordinate with IS Audit for computer audit assistance.
Human Resource Development
- Participate in selection and training of audit staff.
- Supervise, motivate, and guide staff to achieve professional standards.
- Ensure timely completion of audits with maximum management cooperation.
New Audit Techniques and Special Assignments
- Stay updated with current practices in internal audit.
- Perform ad hoc assignments to achieve given objectives.
- Provide feedback for discussions at various meetings and committees.
Frauds and Misappropriations
- Investigate frauds to identify loss, involved personnel, and control weaknesses.
- Prepare reports and recommend preventive strategies.
External Audit
- Liaise with external auditors to coordinate audit coverage and control effectiveness.

What Qualifies You For The Role
- MBA (Finance) or Professionally Qualified Accountant.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Operational and Financial Audits.
- Comprehensive understanding of audit processes across multiple sectors such as Trading, Retail, Manufacturing, and Real Estate.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
