Job Title : Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture
Department : IT Operations & Business Systems

ROLE PURPOSE :
Reporting to the VP IT Operations & Business Systems, the Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture is responsible for leading and managing the Enterprise Architecture function in AD AIRPORTS. The EA function is responsible for designing our IT landscape, to ensure that it properly aligns with the AD AIRPORTS organizational structure and processes. Main duties of the role include developing ways to integrate AD AIRPORTS IT systems, creating and implementing enterprise architecture models and suggesting improvements to the current internal functions and IT processes. The role shall coordinate a team of domain architects (business, information, solution, technical, security and other) from across the Technology division.

Key Accountabilities
- Lead the creation and evolution of the EA function, including coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of enterprise information systems, data, technical and solution architecture viewpoints, stakeholders, product owners and agile development teams.
- Lead analysis of the business’ future-state capabilities and future IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions to drive the business forward and guide investment decisions in support of executing business strategy.
- Lead analysis of business and operating models, market trends and the technology industry to determine their potential impact on the enterprise’s business strategy, direction and architecture.
- Track and apply innovative technologies, anchoring them in the business and operating model to assess their potential, and use agile and lean approaches to evolve and manage innovation.
- Run technology experiments to create new products and services and integrate the best of these into steady-state operations for the organization.
- Facilitate business and IT alignment through a collaborative, supportive and consultative manner, driving the organization’s digital business strategies and balancing innovation and growth.
- Drive a more efficient and effective business and IT operating model with significantly improved results through the integration of business and IT.
- Presents gap analyses and / or IT investment roadmaps that reflect the status of the existing IT estate, its ability to contribute to future-state business capabilities around ecosystems and digital platforms.
- Lead the development of an implementation plan for the enterprise architecture based on business and IT strategy.
- Lead all aspects of the EA function including the coordination of five domain level architects across the Technology division: Business Architecture; Information Architecture; Solutions Architecture; Technical Architecture; Security Architecture.
- Work across the Technology division to develop a talent pool of domain architects, identifying critical skills, competencies and training needs to help them develop and progress in their careers.
- Collaborates with infrastructure, project teams and agile teams to ensure consistency with the enterprise architecture and leverage shared technologies, tools and processes that impact speed to value and time to market.
- Develops and applies standards and minimal viable architectures through the EA governance model, clarifying accountability and providing the focal point for agile, effective and efficient EA decision making.
- Identify disruptive forces and the business’ economic and financial levers that are susceptible to digital transformation to guide technology investment decisions.
- Oversees EA implementation, continuous improvement and ongoing refinement activities.
- Assesses disruptive forces impacting the organization and identifies technology-enabled innovation opportunities that enable business strategy.
- Provides advice to business leaders and stakeholders who seek actionable recommendations to make investment decisions about the next business and operating model, using technology to make that change happen.
- Leads and facilitates interaction with business leaders and system owners in a business-driven conversation over the risks and implications of technology decisions to the line of business, business unit and greater enterprise.
- Identifies organizational requirements for resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the enterprise architecture.
- Works with the CIO and IT leaders to find the right EA organizational design to drive business outcomes.
- Oversee EA implementation, continuous improvement and ongoing refinement activities.
- Oversee the documentation of all architecture design and analysis work.
- Contribute to the overall IT strategy planning for the next 5 years.
QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
- Qualified on multiple Industry best practices such as TOGAF, COBIT, Lean Six Sigma, Scrum, ITIL, CMMi, ISMS, SMS and BCMS Standards.
EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of business experience in strategic and operations planning, applications, infrastructure, governance and managing best practices across the enterprise.
- Ten or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
- Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.
- Understanding of agile principles, methodologies and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level.
- Understanding of disruptive forces and the business’s economic and financial levers that are susceptible to digital transformation to effectively guide technology investment decisions.
- Understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies, and processing environments.
- Organizationally savvy, and understanding of the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate
- Balance long-term and short-term implications of EA related decisions.
- Translate business needs into EA requirements.
- Estimate the financial impact of EA alternatives.
- Apply multiple solutions to business problems.
- Rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
- Ready to think, behave and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organization’s digital business strategies.
- Understand and speak the language of the business.
- Ability to use MS Teams proficiently.
- Experience in aviation is an advantage.
