Overview
Lead and manage health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities across multiple sectors, including oil and gas, construction, healthcare, and infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes risk assessment, regulatory compliance, incident investigations, training, audits, policy development, and leadership to foster a proactive safety culture. Certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are required for many positions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments, develop HSE training, ensure compliance, investigate incidents, and lead safety audits; require NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
- Manage hygiene and food safety operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and standards, and provide training and monitoring of food handlers’ practices.
- Oversee fire safety management, conduct safety training, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and coordinate safety programs in healthcare facilities.
- Lead HSE management for mixed-use development, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and safety culture across project phases.
- Develop and implement HSE management systems, conduct risk assessments, lead training programs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Oversee Occupational Safety and Health compliance, develop safety programs, lead audits, and promote a proactive safety culture with strong leadership skills.
- Develop and implement EHS strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, manage risks, promote sustainability, oversee health and safety programs, and deliver training.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, manage facility operations, lead safety training, and support energy efficiency projects with strong communication skills.
- Develop and implement HSE policies, conduct audits, lead training, analyze incidents, and ensure compliance with regulations while promoting safety culture.
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety standards; may require SARS/SRSS certification where specified.
- Stay informed about industry practices and regulatory changes to continually improve HSE performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field; strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, and related HSE credentials.
- Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, audits, and safety program development across relevant sectors (Oil & Gas, construction, healthcare, infrastructure).
- Proven ability to manage projects, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver training and compliance initiatives on time.
