Job summary

Decision Management Consultants LLC seeks a Senior Manager – Supply Chain to lead end-to-end operations for a prominent pharmaceutical distribution group in Dubai. The role spans procurement, planning, shipment tracking, inventory control, and cross-border logistics, coordinating with suppliers, banks, and freight partners.

You will drive policy development, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize costs while maintaining high service levels across multiple group companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or Finance.
• 8–12 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or international trade.
• Extensive experience managing supply chain operations across multiple companies or business units.
• Proven experience handling complex international trade transactions, import/export documentation, and trade finance operations.
• Exposure to industries like pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, trading, distribution, or manufacturing is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of UAE customs regulations, Incoterms, LC documentation, and banking procedures.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple group companies.
• Oversee procurement, order planning, shipment tracking, inventory control, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with international suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods while controlling costs and minimizing delays.
• Develop and implement supply chain policies, procedures, and control systems to improve efficiency.
• Manage international trade transactions, including imports, exports, and cross-border shipments.
• Oversee shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, origin certificates, bills of lading, airway bills, customs docs).
• Coordinate with banks and finance teams on LC, CAD, advance payments, bank guarantees, and other trade finance needs.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and international trade regulations, customs requirements and documentation standards.
• Monitor routes, freight costs, demurrage, port charges, insurance costs, and customs timelines to optimize logistics expenses.
• Coordinate intercompany transactions, stock transfers and related documentation.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, warehouse, legal, and management teams for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Lead group-level procurement planning and negotiate favorable terms across group companies.
• Identify and onboard reliable local and international suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in service quality and efficiency.
• Maintain inventory levels and implement inventory control procedures across warehouses.
