Ideal candidate has 12–15 years in similar roles, with 10+ years delivering large port or maritime projects and 5+ years in senior construction management, plus strong English language skills.

Formación

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Proven track record in large port/marine or maritime infrastructure projects.
• Strong English language skills; Arabic an advantage.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

Ports Cluster, seeks an experienced Senior Manager – Construction to provide strategic oversight and day‑to‑day leadership for the Fujairah port expansion programme. The role demands rigorous safety and quality standards, strict compliance with local regulations, and disciplined budget and schedule control across all marine and landside construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE oversight and enforcement for all construction activities across the project and the promotion of a positive HSE culture.
• Manage all construction activities across the assigned projects to enable successful delivery.
• Oversight and enforce construction quality for all construction activities across the project.
• Responsible for construction compliance of projects to group governance, external stakeholder, and cluster requirements.
• Manage site interfaces and dependencies across projects and sites.
• Monitor construction risks, resolve issues and update mitigation plans.
• Oversee marine and landside construction works (quay walls, breakwaters, dredging and reclamation, yard pavements and utilities) in line with approved designs, method statements and programme.
• Coordinate construction activities with live port and terminal operations at Fujairah to minimise operational disruption and maintain safe segregation of works.
• Prepare reports to the management for all Fujairah expansion construction related matters and present performance improvement initiatives based on current activities, data analysis and forecasting study.

People Management Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage interfaces between site-based consultants, contractors, supply chains, operational teams, and various project stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative culture between project teams, supply chain and other stakeholders for the betterment of the AD Ports group.
• Provide strong and visionary leadership, supervision, and guidance to the team, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of accountability.
• Identify skill gaps and training requirements for the teams to ensure consistent high performance.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with other projects, suppliers, consultants, and contractors.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of departmental working practices.

Qualifications

Educational and Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field. Master's degree is a plus

Language Skills

• Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage

Years of Experience

• A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in a similar role

Nature of Experience

• 10 years of experience in delivering construction projects.
• 5 years in a senior construction management position.
• Lead construction activities within a contracting organisation
• Worked on large port, marine or maritime infrastructure projects of similar nature (quay walls, breakwaters, dredging and reclamation, terminal yards).
• Experience in project management including the ability to plan, execute and oversee projects from concept to implementation.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address complex challenges and opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to align construction initiatives with the organization’s long term goals and vision.
• Demonstrated success in driving strategic initiatives that result in business growth.
