Job summary

TotalEnergies, based in Dubai, seeks an experienced LPG Trader to develop and manage physical and paper LPG trading opportunities, integrating freight economics into trading decisions and risk management. The role focuses on autonomous front-office execution and value creation in a fast-moving market.

Key expectations include deep LPG market knowledge, strong shipping expertise, a broad commercial network, and the ability to drive P&L while coordinating with operations, risk, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of proven front-office LPG trading experience within a major energy company, commodity trading house, or similar.
• Ability to operate autonomously and contribute directly to P&L.
• Deep understanding of physical LPG markets, global trade flows, pricing structures, arbitrage economics.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of LPG shipping and chartering, including vessel selection and freight economics.
• Strong understanding of the interaction between commodity and freight economics.
• Established commercial network across LPG counterparties, shipowners and brokers.
• Strong analytical, commercial and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of trading, operational and contractual risks.
• Fluent English; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Trade physical LPG cargoes across spot and term markets.
• Identify and monetize trading and arbitrage opportunities.
• Develop LPG trading strategies across physical and paper markets.
• Coordinate with Operations Shipping Risk Finance and other teams.
• Develop and maintain relationships with producers, customers and brokers.
• Ensure compliance with sanctions, HSE, and internal controls.
