Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting with a proven portfolio
• Background in Architecture or Interior Design with ability to integrate lighting into architectural and interior concepts
• Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD/Revit, Dialux, Adobe, Photoshop and other presentation tools
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, or closely related discipline
• Experience leading project teams, managing client relationships and coordinating with multidisciplinary consultants
• Knowledge and understanding of technical detailing and international standards/regulations
• Strong visual, conceptual, and communication skills, with ability to present design ideas clearly
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a studio environment

LDPi (Lighting Design Partnership International) is a globally recognised firm of lighting architects and designers with over 25 years as an RIBA-registered practice, delivering signature projects worldwide. Our studios are primarily staffed by architects and interior designers, enabling collaboration with multidisciplinary design teams across the World.

Role Description

The Senior Lighting Designer role will be to lead the design and delivery of architectural lighting concepts for a range of projects, from large-scale masterplans to high-end interiors across residential and hospitality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, working closely with architects, interior designers, and other consultants.

Day-to-day tasks will include developing design concepts, creating detailed lighting plans and specifications, preparing design reports and project documentation, as well as coordinating with project teams and manufacturers (if and when required).

The role involves managing project timelines, mentoring junior designers, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards and presenting design ideas to clients.
