Job summary

Work corp's library in Abu-Dhabi is seeking an experienced Librarian to manage daily library operations, assist patrons, and maintain accurate records. You will shelve and catalog materials, support reference services, and help improve library services while ensuring safety and security of the premises.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Library Science, have at least three years of library experience, and be proficient with library systems and common computer applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a library setting or related field.
• Knowledge of library systems and procedures; ability to use common computer applications.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the library.
• Maintain accurate records of books, periodicals, journals and other materials in the collection.
• Ensure that books are properly shelved and catalogued.
• Assist patrons with locating materials in the collection or online databases.
• Provide reference services to patrons using computer terminals or other sources of information.
• Develop new methods for improving library services.
• Prepare reports on circulation activities as needed.
• Ensure safety and security of the library premises.
