Job summary

Sukoon Insurance seeks an experienced Underwriter to assess and price new business and renewals in Dubai, applying robust risk assessment techniques and internal guidelines. The role requires handling proposals within authorized limits and liaising with brokers to ensure timely, accurate quotes.

Ideal candidates hold an Engineering or Science degree, with ACII/III and CPCU preferred, and 5+ years' underwriting experience in casualty/financial lines. English is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree preferably in Engineering or Science.
• Insurance qualifications ACII or III, CPCU preferred and risk management knowledge.
• Minimum 5+ years underwriting experience in casualty and/or financial lines.
• Experience with reputed Insurance or Reinsurance公司.
• Proficient in English; Arabic an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite new business and renewals within approved limits.
• Apply underwriting and risk selection techniques to determine acceptability of risks.
• Respond to inquiries from distribution teams on processes, policy forms, and premiums.
• Review special programs for intermediaries to improve profitability.
• Provide quotes to brokers/third parties/customers with supervision.
