Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Land Test Team Lead to plan, design and lead complex land-based test and evaluation activities at Abu Al Abyad Test Range and other locations. You will oversee testing programmes including arena testing, static rocket and engine testing, and mine resistance testing, working with clients, engineers and technicians.

The role provides technical leadership in test design, data acquisition, analysis, reporting, equipment management and capability development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading technical teams of engineers and technicians.
• Experience planning and executing defence-related test programmes.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of land test activities at Abu Al Abyad and other sites.
• Collaborate with clients and engineers to define test requirements and configurations.
• Design test setups to capture performance, safety, and evaluation data.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Oversee test engineers and technicians during preparation and execution.
• Ensure data capture, validation, and reporting meet requirements.
• Mentor engineers and technicians to strengthen technical capability.
• Coordinate with clients, officers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects.
• Maintain compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and range docs.
