Job summary

Sscegypt is seeking a highly skilled Back-End Developer (Sr Java SpringBoot) to join our team in a Dubai-based engagement. You will design, implement, and optimize scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring ecosystem.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on Java experience, strong Spring proficiency, relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud environments. Offshore/remote setup with core hours 9-6 Dubai time is specified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Proficient in building RESTful APIs and integrating with external services.
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and JPA/Hibernate.
• Familiarity with JUnit, Mockito and test-driven development.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker), and working in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Exposure to frontend technologies (Angular or React) is a plus.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security best practices in backend services.
