Job summary

Astek Middle East is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a digital transformation project in Fujairah, UAE. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure software solutions.

The role emphasizes building RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring code quality, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 6–7 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, Microservices, and Web Services.
• Good knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and integrate applications with third-party systems.
• Develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and technical teams to deliver business requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Follow coding standards, security guidelines, and software development best practices.
• Participate in application enhancements, maintenance activities, and production support.
