Job summary

D4 Insight in Dubai seeks an experienced Backend Engineer – Java to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications and microservices for digital banking platforms, with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native deployment.

You will implement secure services, add tests with JUnit/TDD, and collaborate with DevOps on Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, and CI/CD within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong Java 8+/21 and Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and TDD.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services and REST APIs.
• Build scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and ensure high-quality code.
• Deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
