Job summary

Xebia Group is seeking a Backend Developer with strong Java 21+ expertise, Spring Boot, and Quarkus to build high‑performance, secure backend services. You will work on distributed microservices, integrating Keycloak for IAM and JWT-based security, while optimizing SQL/NoSQL databases and JVM performance.

You will collaborate with DevOps/SRE for OpenShift deployments, write tests, and participate in code reviews to ensure robust, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java 17+ (preferably 21).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Quarkus.
• Solid understanding of Keycloak, OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.
• Experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, API gateways, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Quarkus.
• Integrate and manage Keycloak for authentication, authorization, and RBAC.
• Design, optimize, and query SQL/NoSQL databases efficiently.
• Implement secure, stateless APIs with JWT-based authentication.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Optimize application performance (DB indexing, JVM tuning, caching, async).
• Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams to ensure scalable deployment on Openshift.
• Write clean, maintainable code with unit/integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
