Job summary

Weekday AI is seeking an exceptionally experienced SDE-3 to design, develop, and scale backend systems in Abu Dhabi. You will own critical initiatives, drive architecture decisions, and mentor a team of engineers working with Java and Spring Boot in a production environment.

The role requires strong problem-solving, ownership, and collaboration across product, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable software at scale.

Qualifications

• 9–14 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, and high availability.
• Experience with Git, testing, and code quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Architect and implement robust APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Own complex projects from design through production support.
• Review code, mentor engineers, and champion engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams.
