Job summary

Fentexa Ltd. in Abu Dhabi seeks an Senior IT Project Manager – Tech Lead with strong Equity Capital Markets (ECM) expertise to lead selection, design and implementation of a new ECM software platform.

You will drive architecture, vendor evaluation and delivery, coordinating with ECM stakeholders, technology teams and external partners to ensure a compliant, efficient and scalable solution for the bank.

Qualifications

• Experience with ECM technology solutions in investment banks.
• Experience building in-house ECM platforms or selecting/implementing third-party solutions.
• Strong understanding of ECM workflows and transaction lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end selection, design and implementation of a new ECM software platform.
• Assess requirements and evaluate vendor solutions against needs.
• Define architecture and delivery approach for an internal ECM platform if needed.
• Collaborate with ECM, Front Office, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Tech stakeholders.
• Document requirements and map existing ECM workflows for improvement.
• Manage vendor assessments, demos, fit-gap analyses and project plans.
• Oversee configuration, integration, testing, data migration and deployment.
• Ensure integration with existing applications and infrastructure; support go-live and optimisation.

Overview

My client, a leading investment bank, is looking for an experienced Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Technology Specialist to lead the selection, design and implementation of a new ECM software platform.

This is a key role for someone with a strong understanding of Equity Capital Markets processes and proven experience either building an in-house ECM system from the ground up or selecting and implementing a third-party vendor solution.

The successful candidate will work closely with ECM business stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors to deliver a solution that supports the bank’s business requirements, improves operational efficiency and aligns with its wider technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end selection, design and implementation of a new ECM software platform.
• Assess business requirements and evaluate suitable vendor solutions against the bank’s needs.
• Alternatively, define the architecture, functional requirements and delivery approach for an internally developed ECM platform.
• Work closely with ECM, Front Office, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Technology stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
• Map existing ECM workflows and identify opportunities to improve processes through technology.
• Manage vendor assessments, solution demonstrations, fit-gap analysis and implementation planning.
• Oversee system configuration, integration, testing, data migration and deployment.
• Ensure the platform integrates effectively with the bank’s existing applications and infrastructure.
• Support user acceptance testing, training, go-live and post-implementation optimisation.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience working on Equity Capital Markets (ECM) technology solutions within an investment bank or financial institution.
• Direct experience in at least one of the following:
• Building and delivering an in-house ECM platform.
• Evaluating, selecting and implementing a third-party ECM software solution.
• Strong understanding of ECM products, workflows and the transaction lifecycle.
