Job summary

Client of Hanson Search Ltd. is seeking a Senior Investment Associate to support analytic work across offices and collaborate with technology experts to automate investment processes in private markets in Dubai.

The role centers on evaluating opportunities, building financial models, and contributing to portfolio monitoring and reporting. You will engage in due diligence, prepare IC materials, and help drive AI-enabled insights across the investment pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating investment opportunities and conducting due diligence.
• Ability to build and interpret financial models and investment analyses.
• Demonstrated interest in using AI and technology to enhance investment research, analysis, workflow automation and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation, selection, execution and monitoring of private markets investments across investment managers and direct or co-investment opportunities.
• Contribute to financial modelling and investment analysis, documenting meetings with managers and industry specialists.
• Gather and maintain data while conducting quantitative and qualitative assessments of investment opportunities.
• Partner with technology experts to build and automate investment processes and enhance analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
• Maintain investment pipelines across private markets and produce market maps and research reports.
• Support diligence processes across managers and direct investments, participating in meetings and reference calls.
• Assist in producing materials for investment recommendations such as memos, criteria, and decks.
• Create and maintain models to project exposures, performance, liquidity, and portfolio risks.

Working within the investment team the Senior Investment Associate will support analysts across offices and present analytic work to the investment team lead The role also partners with technology experts to build and automate investment processes giving it a strong focus on AI and data

Senior Investment Associate Responsibilities

Investments

Assist in the evaluation selection execution and monitoring of private markets investments across investment managers and direct or co-investment opportunities supporting the due diligence process Contribute to financial modelling and investment analysis documenting meetings with existing and prospective managers companies co-investors and industry specialists Gather and maintain the necessary data while conducting quantitative and qualitative assessments of investment opportunities

Technology

Partner with technology experts to build and automate investment processes enabled by cutting-edge technology The focus is on enhancing investment analysis portfolio monitoring data management and reporting capabilities

Proactive Research

Maintain investment pipelines to track prospective managers companies co-investment opportunities and emerging areas of opportunity across private markets Support this work with research reports and market maps

Investment Due Diligence

Support diligence processes across investment managers and direct investment opportunities collecting information and performing targeted analyses Participate in due diligence meetings and reference calls then synthesise key findings Assess investment strategies manager capabilities company fundamentals market dynamics competitive positioning growth opportunities and investment risks while running and owning the financial modelling

Investment Recommendation

Assist in producing materials for the investment recommendation process These include investment criteria scoring IC memos and decks checklists presentations and other materials backing the team s final recommendation

Portfolio Monitoring

Create and maintain models to project investment exposures performance outcomes liquidity profiles and portfolio risks Monitor manager investments and direct or co-investment holdings through ongoing quantitative and qualitative analysis Use third-party software and data platforms such as DealCloud PitchBook Mirador Addepar Burgiss Cambridge Associates and SharePoint as needed

Reporting

Assist in the preparation of portfolio reviews investment committee materials performance updates risk analyses and other reporting materials for internal stakeholders

Data Process Improvement

Assist in driving quality and process improvements across data analysis and management including data integrity

Team

Coordinate with and support analysts across offices reviewing their workstreams and providing guidance on investment analyses Ensure high-quality deliverables while representing and owning analytic work product with the investment team lead

Strategic Projects

Assist in executing special project requests on an as-needed basis

Private Markets Investment Experience and Skills

Experience evaluating investment opportunities and conducting due diligence, including support for investment recommendation processes. A proven ability to build and interpret financial models and investment analyses. The ability to synthesise complex information and communicate findings clearly through written materials and presentations. A demonstrated interest in using AI and technology to enhance investment research, analysis, workflow automation and decision-making.
