Job summary

Remitly is seeking a UAE Lead Auditor to join our Global Audit & Assurance (GAA) team in Abu Dhabi. You will lead internal audit across UAE entities, plan, execute, and report risk-based engagements, and influence MEA strategy with regulators and the Board.

In this role you will build a strong control culture, drive continuous monitoring, and manage co-source partnerships while engaging with the UAE Board and regulators. 7+ years of relevant experience and UAE regulatory exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 7+ years in internal audit, compliance assurance, risk testing, or regulatory consulting in financial services, fintech, or payments.
• Experience with UAE regulatory frameworks (CBUAE, DFSA, FSRA).
• Ability to manage full audit lifecycle independently and oversee multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Support UAE entity internal audit framework development and continuous monitoring.
• Develop annual UAE audit plan and manage budgeting/scheduling.
• Lead end‑to‑end audit engagements from scoping to reporting.
• Monitor remediation actions and report to oversight committees.
• Build relationships with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, and Engineering, plus regulators and Board.
• Oversee co-source engagements and ensure GAA methodology alignment.
• Contribute to strategic projects including AI-assisted audit techniques.
