Job summary

Checkout.com in Dubai seeks an experienced Internal Audit Manager to lead the MENA internal audit function. You will plan and execute audits across Treasury, Finance, Operations and Compliance, reporting to the Global Head of Internal Audit.

Based in Dubai, you will drive risk-based assurance in a fast-paced fintech environment. The role requires a university degree, 12+ years of audit experience in tech/fintech, UAE regulatory knowledge, and professional certifications (CIA/CPA/CA/CAMS).

Qualifications

• University degree and 12+ years of audit experience in tech/fintech or regulated financial institutions in MENA.
• Proven track record in leading and delivering multiple audit engagements.
• Subject matter expertise in operational, finance, treasury and/or compliance (AML/CFT).
• Knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks (CB UAE, DIFC, ADGM) with regulator interaction.
• Professional certifications such as CIA/CPA/CA/CAMS are essential.
• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools to support audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual audit plan for MENA entities, update audit universe, and perform risk assessments.
• Lead and oversee execution of audits across Treasury, Finance, Operations, and Compliance.
• Document findings and communicate risks to senior management and boards.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and report to Risk Committees.
• Enhance audit methodology, ensure adherence to IIA standards and UAE regulations.
• Collaborate with Board and regulators, acting as trusted advisor to the business.
• Utilize data analytics (SQL/Power BI/Tableau/Python) for automated testing and insights.
