mustard&linen is looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer with a strong creative eye, solid technical knowledge and the ability to lead projects from concept through delivery.

We are looking for someone who combines design thinking, technical confidence and strong communication skills, and who is comfortable working across residential, workplace and commercial interior projects. The ideal candidate will also be curious about AI, technology and new digital tools, and how these can be used to improve the design process, creative development, research, visualisation and project efficiency.

Required Skills:

• 8 - 10 years’ experience on residential and workspace projects.
• Degree in Interior Design or related internationally recognised degree.
• Strong presentation and client-facing skills.
• Strong design portfolio, space planning skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, AI & AutoCAD, InDesign, and Revit is a plus.
• Possess excellent English communication and presentation skills. Arabic Speaking candidate is preffered for this particular role.
• Good understanding in technical detailing and interior construction
• Workspace & residential projects background is required.
• Previous UAE & GCC experience is preffered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead interior design projects from concept development through design development, technical coordination and execution.
• Develop strong creative concepts, mood boards, material palettes and design narratives.
• Produce and review presentations, layouts, design packages and technical information.
• Translate design concepts into practical, well-resolved interior environments.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and specialist teams.
• Participate in client presentations, workshops and design reviews.
• Review technical drawings, shop drawings, material submissions and design-related RFIs.
• Attend site meetings and inspections where required to ensure the approved design intent is maintained.
• Identify and resolve design, coordination and execution issues in collaboration with the wider project team.
• Coordinate FF&E, finishes, lighting, joinery and specialist design packages.
• Manage project deliverables and ensure quality and deadlines are maintained.
• Mentor and review the work of junior designers where required.Maintain clear project documentation, design decisions and communication.

Candidates should have a strong portfolio demonstrating both creative design ability and successful project delivery. We would particularly like to see experience in:

• Residential interiors.
• Workplace and office design.
• High-end commercial interiors.
• Hospitality or F&B environments.
• Projects demonstrating strong materiality, detailing and spatial thinking.

AI & Technology:
