Job summary

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) at Abu Dhabi Global Market is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead insurance supervision and develop robust frameworks, policies, and risk-based plans for financial institutions within its remit.

This role requires strong risk assessment skills, effective stakeholder management, and excellent communication in business English. Arabic knowledge is a plus for broader collaboration across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
• Minimum 8 years in insurance supervision or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, products, and market practices.
• Experience assessing risks to identify trends and remedial action.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluent in business English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, enhancing and implementing the framework, policies, rules and procedures for governing and supervising financial institutions.
• Responsible for effective supervision of financial institutions within the FSRA risk-based supervisory plan.
• Develop a supervisory plan/strategy for assigned firms to mitigate supervisory concerns.
• Use supervisory tools such as onsite reviews, third-party reviews, and information requests.
• Lead and assist in periodic risk assessment of firms in line with Supervisory work plan.
• Review periodic reports and returns on an ongoing basis.
• Conduct periodic implementation controls/progress reports where deficiencies identified.
• Build and manage relationships with stakeholders among market participants and other FSRA staff.
• Take prompt action against deficiencies and non-compliances identified.
• Provide expertise and support to colleagues within the Supervision team.
