Job summary

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is seeking a seasoned Instrumentation/Control Engineer to provide technical expertise, review site resources and downtime, and ensure reliability, availability and safe operations of instrument and control systems in the plant.

You will lead maintenance planning and execution, supervise installation and repair work, review preventive maintenance, perform root cause analysis, manage spares and change requests, and contribute to risk assessments and long‑term

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Instrumentation/Control Engineering or equivalent.
8 years of IC maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Maintenance planning, execution, and expertise for instrument and control systems.
Supervise installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and modification activities of instrument & control equipment and systems in the plant.
Review preventive maintenance plans and supervise execution of maintenance programmes.
Diagnose, analyse and carry out root cause failure analysis; highlight reasons for equipment failure and advise on remedial measures.
Provide guidance on actions for chronic problems; review major repair and spares requirements.
Participate in Risk Assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and guidelines.
Ensure availability of spares and manage material orders and stocking proposals.
Prepare new maintenance procedures and plan long-term activities per shutdown schedules.
Plan and coordinate maintenance with other departments; control major and minor shutdown expenditures.
Provide technical support for development and commissioning of projects; study PCRs for implementation.
