Job summary

EDGE, based in Abu Dhabi, seeks a Senior Inspector NDT Level II specializing in Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (FPI/PT) to perform non-destructive inspections on components, welds, and parts in line with procedures and standards. You will interpret acceptance criteria, troubleshoot equipment, support Nadcap and customer audits, and maintain accurate, traceable test records.

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Min 5+ years of hands-on experience in NDT Inspection in Aerospace Industries.
• Basic knowledge of special process chemicals, painting inspection, assembly inspection, and receiving inspection.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and process optimization skills with the ability to support production.

Responsibilities

• Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (FPI/PT) in accordance with approved written procedures and standards.
• Perform daily checks and system performance in line with process specifications and standards.
• Interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection per applicable criteria, codes, and customer requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting NDT equipment and report defects or out-of-calibration equipment.
• Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection with Yoke Technique.
• Support Nadcap, customer audits, and continuous improvement activities as required.
• Maintain complete, traceable NDT inspection reports, test records, non-conformance reports and documentation.
• Identify and report non-conforming conditions; coordinate with operations to RCCA via 8D/Why analysis.
• Coordinate with chemical process team to daily work plan and manage NDT equipment and consumables.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Inspector NDT Level II specializing in Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (FPI/PT) to perform non-destructive inspections on components, assemblies, welds, and manufactured parts in accordance with approved written procedures, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (FPI/PT) in accordance with approved written procedures, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Perform Daily checks & System Performance in accordance with Applicable process specifications & Standards.
• Interpret & evaluate for acceptance or rejection of components based on applicable acceptance criteria, codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting NDT equipment and report defective or out-of-calibration equipment.
• Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection with Yoke Technique
• Support audits Like Nadcap, Customers, Certification Audit & continuous improvement activities when required.
• Completeness accurate and traceable NDT inspection reports, test records, non-conformance reports, and documentation.
• Maintain proper control and identification of inspection materials, chemicals, and consumables.
• Identify and report non-conforming conditions, Co-ordinate with operations team to find the RCCA through 8D, Why analysis /suitable method
• Coordinate to chemical Process team to daily work plan
• NDT equipment and consumable control
• Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection & LPI for Non-Aero Component Lead daily production execution for the assigned area/shift, delivering Safety, Quality and Delivery targets (output, schedule adherence)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Min 5+ years of hands‑on experience in NDT Inspection in Aerospace Industries
• Basic Knowledge of Special Process Chemical, painting Inspection, Assembly Inspection , receiving inspection
• Demonstrated problem‑solving and process optimization skills, with the ability to support production.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Metallic component manufacturing Process
• Completed 400 hours of OJT in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection.
• Valid Certification in NDT Level 2 in PT & MT as per SNT-TC-1A.
• Valid Certification in NDT Level 2 in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection as per NAS410/EN4179.
• Understanding of Audit Criteria Like Nadcap, OEM, AS/EN9100 & IMS.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, or other high‑precision manufacturing environments.
