Job summary

KN International is seeking an Inspector to monitor construction activities for infrastructure and sewerage projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure and sewerage projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction practices, material testing and quality control.
• Familiarity with UAE construction codes, standards and project regulations.
• Experience with inspection and documentation procedures for infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with TAQA WS (SWS/ADSSC) approvals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure work aligns with plans, specs and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor contractor activities, ensuring health, safety and environmental standards.
• Perform quality control checks on materials, workmanship and methods.
• Review inspection requests by contractors and provide timely responses.
• Maintain records of daily site activities, inspection reports and non-conformance issues.
• Identify deficiencies, generate reports and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and contractors to resolve site-related issues.
• Conduct site visits to verify sewerage installation processes (excavation, bedding, pipe installation, compaction, backfilling).
• Assist in reviewing contractor submittals, method statements and risk assessments.
• Attend progress meetings and provide updates on construction status and quality concerns.
