Job summary

Allocation Assist is assisting a leading hospital in Saudi Arabia in recruiting a Consultant Critical Care / ICU Physician. The role focuses on expert management of critically ill patients within a state-of-the-art ICU environment.

The successful candidate will lead daily rounds, develop multidisciplinary care plans, and mentor junior staff while ensuring high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or an equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of consultant-level ICU experience in a reputable facility.
• Western-trained candidates are preferred.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the ICU, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage complex medical emergencies, ventilator support, sepsis, organ failure, and critical care procedures.
• Conduct daily ICU rounds and supervise junior physicians and medical staff.
• Participate in on-call duties and emergency consultations as required.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital standards and regulations.
• Stay updated with advancements in critical care medicine and participate in CME and training activities.
• Mentor junior doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
