Job summary

McDermott in Dubai seeks a proactive HSES Specialist who can balance field operations with administrative duties. You will apply your knowledge of HSES to support safe work practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance across projects in the energy sector.

The role covers developing plans and procedures, guiding frontline supervision, mentoring junior staff, performing audits and PTW inspections, and contributing to incident investigations to uphold McDermott's safety standards on

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in HSES or equivalent.
• 5 years of Oil & Gas HSES experience.
• Conversant with local and international HSES laws, codes, and regulations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of HSES plans, procedures and instructions.
• Provide HSES guidance to frontline supervision and field personnel.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to junior HSES staff.
• Assist in HSES Prequalification subcontractors and vendors.
• Monitor subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance to safe work practices.
• Participate in risk assessments and ensure risk registries are maintained up to date.
• Develop Toolbox Talk (TBT) plan and supporting material.
• Observe / assist supervision during the delivery of TBTs.
