Job summary

WSP Middle East is seeking a Health and Safety officer to embed HSEQ policies across projects, sites and offices in Abu Dhabi. You will manage safety arrangements, supervise inspectors, and deliver HSE training to staff.

The role requires NEBOSH IGC and a minimum of seven years on major construction projects, with strong English communication and MS Office proficiency. Applicants should be committed to regulatory compliance and proactive safety culture, coordinating with clients and enforcement

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or relevant subject.
• Must be qualified with NEBOSH IGC.
• Minimum 7+ years’ experience on major construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage health, safety and environmental arrangements for the project per WSP HSEQ/client requirements.
• Lead HSE Inspectors to monitor safety arrangements on-site per legal and client requirements.
• Develop and deliver health, safety and environmental training (induction and safe working practices).
• Review and approve contractor HSE plans, risk assessments and method statements.
