Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an experienced HSE leader to oversee safety at construction sites in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires a strong background in construction safety, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to drive safety performance across contractors and teams.

The ideal candidate holds NEBOSH/IOSH certifications, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field, and at least eight years’ experience in HSE within oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing

Qualifications

• Relevant HSE certifications and strong safety background in construction or oil & gas.
• Experience leading HSE audits and inspections.
• Proven ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise safety inspections at construction sites
• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE requirements, regulations and standards
• Identify safety hazards and assess risks, especially in construction environments
• Monitor contractors' safety performance and recommend corrective actions
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and follow up on corrective actions
• Prepare inspection reports, safety observations and HSE performance reports
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors and authorities
• Conduct safety awareness sessions and promote a strong safety culture

Job description

• Preferably experience in regulatory inspections and site supervision
• Lead and supervise safety inspections at construction sites

• Investigate incidents identify root causes and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare inspection reports safety observations and HSE performance reports
• Coordinate with project teams consultants contractors and relevant authorities
• Conduct safety awareness sessions and promote a strong safety culture
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in HSE roles within oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing industries.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar recognized HSE qualifications are mandatory.
• Experience in leading HSE audits and inspections, with a strong understanding of local and international HSE regulations.
