As part of a restructure and continual business improvement, the role of Senior HR Advisor in Abu Dhabi has been created to deliver on‑the‑ground HR services to the Abu Dhabi based employees of the business. The role will support the UAE HR Manager in the provision of a commercially focused, proactive operational HR service facing numerous stakeholders in the businesses based in Abu Dhabi.

This is a challenging role, utilizing expert skills and knowledge to deliver a breadth of service that spans a range of operational HR activities.

Responsibilities
  • To drive the implementation of the people strategy and deliver related initiatives
  • To deliver hands‑on advice and facilitate the day‑to‑day implementation of all operational HR issues i.e. grievance, disciplinary, absence management, HR reporting etc.
  • To promote best practice, share ideas and network with colleagues to ensure consistency and a value‑adding service
  • To work with all HR centre’s of expertise to deliver specialist advice and services
  • To coach and mentor junior members of the HR team to enhance performance and capability
  • To manage (from an HR perspective) and support the business in the delivery of complex HR cases, from inception through to closure
  • To manage and deliver a wide range of HR projects as directed
  • To coordinate regional activities, such as: salary review, employee engagement survey and other cyclical processes
Essential Criteria
  • A degree in a relevant discipline
  • Must have a high command of written / spoken English
  • Demonstrable, relevant experience in a senior human resources capacity, gained within a complex organization, preferably within the professional services sector
  • Demonstrable experience in the delivery of generalist HR processes
  • Able to work under pressure to strict deadlines with limited supervision
  • Proven experience of developing strong working relationships and influencing stakeholders for results
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Good organisational skills; able to balance conflicting priorities
  • Flexible “can do” attitude and approach
  • High regard for confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive situations
  • Self‑motivate
