Job summary

Aertssen Machinery Services in Abu Dhabi seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Workshop Foreman to lead daily workshop operations, coordinating maintenance and repair of heavy earthmoving equipment while managing manpower and priorities.

You will ensure work meets manufacturer and company standards, enforce safety, and supervise diagnostics, with a hands-on leadership approach to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising heavy equipment workshop.
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, undercarriage, powertrain components, diagnostic software and computerized systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy components, climb machinery, and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workshop operations and planning, ensuring on-time progress and efficient resource use.
• Provide hands-on technical support and fault-finding when required.
• Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and company standards; enforce safety and quality practices.
• Document all job cards, checklists, parts usage and labour hours; report status to management.
• Coordinate with site teams, planners and management; communicate delays and risks proactively.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop environment; lead incident reporting and corrective actions.
