Job summary

AD Ports Group is seeking an experienced senior leader to manage port marine operations in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure compliance with maritime laws, oversee vessel traffic, and coordinate with government authorities to uphold safety, security, and environmental standards.

You will lead a skilled team, drive risk assessments, and improve port performance while aligning with strategic maritime objectives and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in maritime field or related discipline; master’s degree is a plus.
• STCW and Chief Mate certificate are essential; leadership program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lawful port operations and compliance with governing regulations; maintain HSSE alignment.
• Oversee marine movement within port limits and report navigational hazards to Marine Information Officer.
• Enforce UAE, federal, and Abu Dhabi authorities' regulations and ISPS compliance.
• Collaborate with security teams and relevant agencies to secure port operations.
• Monitor HSSE licensing and implement anti-pollution controls and emergency response plans.
• Investigate incidents with the team and implement corrective actions.
• Lead budgeting discussions and define departmental staffing and development needs.
• Develop and implement maritime strategies in coordination with leadership.
