Job summary

Daimler Truck AG in Dubai is seeking a Portfolio Strategy & Business Planning Senior Executive to drive portfolio planning and performance management across the Global South region. You will develop analyses, evaluate performance and translate market and product insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.

The role leads analytical workstreams, coordinates with regional and global stakeholders and supports annual and mid-term planning with robust scenario modelling and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in portfolio management or strategy.
• Independently manage analytical workstreams and fact-based evaluations.
• Experience conducting portfolio reviews, market assessments and scenario analysis.
• Experience in regional/global matrix organizations; automotive industry experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of portfolio management, planning and performance management.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI; AI tools to improve productivity.
• Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• German/Portuguese/Spanish/Arabic language skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct portfolio assessments across products, segments and markets to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Evaluate portfolio competitiveness and lifecycle performance to guide planning.
• Support portfolio optimization including product introductions, upgrades and phase-outs.
• Develop planning assumptions, models and frameworks for annual and mid-term planning.
• Evaluate growth opportunities and investment scenarios with structured analysis.
• Conduct scenario modelling, sensitivity analyses and performance evaluations.
• Monitor portfolio performance against strategic objectives and drivers.
• Identify performance improvements and corrective actions.
• Prepare portfolio reviews, reports and executive presentations.
• Coordinate planning across Product Strategy, Market Intelligence and Global Functions.
• Facilitate planning workshops and stakeholder discussions for alignment.
• Build relationships across stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
