Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai seeks an experienced Consultant General Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility. The role calls for advanced expertise in general, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive surgery, with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, patient safety, and quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have MBBS/MD with postgraduate General Surgery training, board certification, and 5–10 years of post-specialization experience.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree and postgraduate General Surgery training.
• Board-certified or equivalent consultant qualification.
• Minimum 5-10 years post-specialization experience in General Surgery.
• Eligible for DHA Consultant license in Dubai and related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation, diagnosis and surgical management of general surgical conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures.
• Perform laparoscopic and open surgeries including hernia repair.
• Manage pre- and post-operative care and clinical documentation.
