Job summary

Intelligent Solutions HR client in Dubai, a leading insurer, seeks a Financial Controller to lead the day-to-day Finance function, driving accurate reporting, controls, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and forecasting.

The role requires 8–12 years of finance experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership position, with ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent and IFRS/IFRS 17 expertise. You will strengthen governance and oversee VAT/corporate tax compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Master’s degree in finance, business administration or related field preferred.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting with IFRS/IFRS 17.
• Coordinate board and regulator reporting and provide governance oversight.
• Lead ICFR framework, risk & control matrices, testing, and remediation.
• Drive budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and insights.
• Oversee treasury, cash flow management, and banking relationships.
• Manage VAT and corporate tax compliance, including audits.
• Lead finance team development, policies, and continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related

Master’s Degree in Finance/Business

ACA/ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent
